Have you decided to take up an acoustic musical instrument, but you are not sure which acoustic instrument is best for beginners? When deciding to purchase an acoustic musical instrument, there are a number of different factors that will put influence on your buying decision, including which are easy and difficult to learn, which will be affordable, which will be easy to find teachers for, how much lessons will cost, and what instruments are suitable for what types of music.
Some of the musical instruments that you can choose from when deciding to play a new instrument include the acoustic guitar, piano, drums, violin, cello, flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, cornet, trombone, French horn, banjo, recorder, viola, tuba and oboe. These are listed in order from the most popular to the least popular, so the most popular acoustic instrument that you can learn is the acoustic guitar.
If you want to buy an acoustic musical instrument to learn to play, but you do not want to spend too much money in the process, then the best acoustic instrument for you may be an acoustic guitar, violin, clarinet or trumpet. These instruments tend to be the cheapest when it comes to buying an instrument to learn on and practice with.
The easiest musical instruments to learn from the list mentioned above include the guitar, the drums and the recorder. The acoustic guitar is pretty easy to learn because you can start choosing and playing chords pretty quickly. The best acoustic guitar style to learn when you are just starting out is the classical guitar, with nylon strings that are easier on the fingers than traditional acoustic guitars. Drums are also fairly easy to learn, as long as you can feel the rhythm. Once you have the rhythm down, everything else involved in learning to play the drums should be fairly straight forward. Finally the recorded is one of the easiest instruments to learn. The recorder is an excellent acoustic instrument to learn before you take up the clarinet, the saxophone or the flute.
The most difficult instruments to learn on the other hand are the oboe, the French horn, the trumpet and the piano. The oboe is one of the most difficult to learn, because even producing sound at first is difficult. The French horn also involves difficulty to learn, because not only do you need to create sound by blowing, but also by buzzing your lips and creating an embouchure. The trumpet is also considered difficult to learn because it requires a unique set of techniques to learn and trying to make a nice sound can take several years to perfect. Making sound on a piano is easy, but playing music can be quite difficult because you often need to learn how to play more than a single note at a time.
Knowing which instruments are easy to learn and which aren't is the first step to choosing the right acoustic musical instrument for you. Once you know which of the aforementioned instruments is best suited for you, you can find a cheap practice instrument and begin taking lessons.
